Luke Davis has been with Aquasyn for 6 months and his skills are steadily evolving as a mechanical engineer.
Luke currently handles a variety of tasks involving new product design & documentation utilizing 3D CAD Software. He interfaces with the fabrication team & outside vendors to ensure design manufacturability. Additionally, he interfaces with the sales & marketing teams to provide technical advice as well as realistic product rendering to facilitate sales & marketing.
Luke grew up in this area and eventually went to college at UNR University of Nevada Reno to study mechanical engineering. After 4 years Luke received his degree in Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduating Luke worked for a manufacturing company that made pumps for oil and gas, as well as municipal water suppliers. After that he spent a short time at the Tesla Giga-factory before making a career change to join the Aquasyn Team!
Since Luke was new to our industry, he spent the first few months of his employment training on the complete line of Aquasyn products. His training began with our complete library of standard two-way sanitary diaphragm valves and our standard bleed & sample valves. After that, he learned about our customization capabilities of all our valves. Not only does Aquasyn manufacture standard diaphragm valves, we are the industry leader in custom manufactured diaphragm valves which includes our Valbow, Point-of-Use valves, 3-way valves, GMP valves and Sterile access valves function.
Luke is now able to assist our staff of I.D. polishing, O.D. polishing, machinists and our ASME/BPE certified welder with their questions regarding the manufacturing process of standard two-way sanitary diaphragm valves, inline and angle sample & bleed valves.
Next up was our stainless-steel custom component fabrication capabilities. Since our inception in 1996, Aquasyn has provided our customers with solutions to their custom component fabrication needs, including, dip tubes, custom fittings, spool pieces, spargers, manifolds and most any custom fabrication that our customers can draw, we can manufacture.
Luke’s mechanical engineering evolution continues as Aquasyn adds new products. He is now engineering a line Filter Housings, which includes Inline and T-Style, one round, two round, one high and 2 high combinations. And our latest addition, the Perfect Pitch elbow.
Congratulations Luke & keep up the good work.
